Food Shopping List

Food for eight to nine days (including food for driving) for two people.

Main Courses From Restaurants

  • 2 servings Panang Chicken

  • 2 servings of Tom Kha Kai soup

  • 2 servings Chana Masala

  • 2 servings of Butter Chicken

  • 2 servings Palak Paneer

  • 8 servings rice, individually wrapped in cling film

  • 2 servings Tonkotsu Tantamen Ramen

  • 1 Mac n’ Cheese

  • 1 large Pizza

Notes: All of this food gets eaten, albeit some might be during the drive home. These meals taste amazing on the playa. Discounts probably can be found with a little haggling from your favorite restaurants, especially if you ask in advance and let the cook it when the restaurant first opens as is not crowded. These are all great for dinner and for a 4 a.m. second dinner.

Food Cooked at Home

  • Breakfast burritos: Crisp potatoes, scrambled eggs and chorizo (well cooked and with as much oil as possible drained and blotted out). Prepare all fillings, wrap in cling film in single burrito sized portions and freeze. Do not put into tortillas until ready to eat for best taste.
